  • Honestly such an amazing place.

Fit 5 campers, lovely spot. Definitely check this out! We got here at 5 and got one of the last spots. Road beside is a bit busy but you should generally be able to sleep through all the noise!

  • Currently here , arrived at 4pm by 5pm.

Spots were full up, because the first van parked inconsiderately it could only fit 4 folks not 5 . Rememver to be mindful about how you park friends ! Diagonal between lines is not good for others . Otherwise 1 bathroom drop toilet no water , small room beside toilet we could shelter from the rain and cook dinner

  • Coromandel area is a bit hostile towards freedom campers.

We had a hard time there. All camps had very few overnight places, and every single place was already taken. We ended up in Coroglen just because it was already dark and late. We couldn't go on further, and just stayed in the car next to the full parking. We left at 4 or 5 AM before the ranger checks. Otherwise the place is alright, but probably you need to be there very early to get a spot. There is a drop toilet and nothing else

  • Stopped to use the toilet.

Drop toilet, no tap water. Two freedom campers allowed between the arrows on two signs.

  • Nice spot just off of the road with a drop toilet that stays open overnight.

Space for 5 small vans. Guy from the council came around 7am checking number plates and self containment

  • Big turning circle.

Where you can park up! Some big potholes to avoid! Only one toilet with no running water or sink. But clean. And another room to change/ escape the poor weather.

Next to the Waiwawa River. Not a busy road so minimal noise.

  • Good spot for overnight sleep, clean long drop toilet, no water on site, plenty of room to stretch your legs, an there's a pub nextdoor for a hot meal.

  • Really nice place, but there was a car in the night that was drifting 2 times and now I have stone chips on the windscreen.

I think he want to tell us that we’re not welcome.
